College and Krystal Story

So I am officially enrolled into college, I have a dorm, a (awesome) roommate,  (awesome) friends and every day gets better. However, I am so dang tired because I am constantly running around at Welcome Week! Hoping to be more stablized soon with classes! So, this is gonna be a really short post.

Random moment: I am still in my body sling. Heal, shoulder, heal.

Also, I don't know if anyone knows but I have a dA account and a 4kidsTV account. If you have ever been on these sites and have heard of Krystal Story, you'd know she is my OC (original character created for the use of writing fanfictions). Well, Krystal Story has butted her way into The Portal Hunter Book 2. Apparently Ms. Story can't get enough attention. I can't stand it when my characters rebel against me. But they always do. Its like characters are like kids but they're worse. Because they're not real. Shocking, isn't it?

So its midnight and I gotta wake up early. Need to go to sleep!!!

So chill, keep it real, and look out for more complaints on Krystal Story. She's an awesome character, truly. She just never does what I tell her.

Return of plot bunnies

So, still trying to get over the death of Hope my dog. It's been a process. But, I didn't get on here to be depressing.

So I have been activily working on the second book in the Glaxion (aka The Portal Hunter) Series. It's been interesting because it's a bit more involved than the first one and around chapter seventeen I was suddenly like "umm....my brian has been struck by writers block." And this awful block lasted two weeks! I was going "Oh slog, are you serious?!" And then about two or three days ago, BOOM! I was struck by a major wave of creativeness and it has't left me along sense then. So I'm slightly sleep deprived (because apparently staying up until 2am is bad for you) but its been worth it!! I'm really liking where this story is going and I hope you all will too.

So I've been taking a World Literature class and it has given me new insight to books and literature and the meaning behind each word. I kinda wish I had taken it before I wrote TPH, but I'm never to old to learn.
Speaking f colleges WHY IS IT NEAR IMPOSSIBLE TO GET THROUGH ALL THAT PAPERWORK???????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously people!!!! And why do the websites never work??? I try to log on and I think the computer goes "It's Krista, let's mess up her regristration process and basically drive her up the wall and make her question her sanity and make her hate college herself in the process."
I kid you not. I totally bet the computers do this. No, really. I'm not insane, I promise.
Agggh, anyway.

So! Back to homework, back to working on the Glaxion Series!

My dog died

Hope, my dog of 12 years died. Not much more to say other than I loved you Hope. You were my baby girl and I am heart broken.

I know, I know, I sound like a major insane fan girl but I kid you not, I listened to all of his hits over and over and over and over writing my book. All I wanted to do is to see the man whose soul music inspired my creative mind so much. Ooooh well...I will pray for a next time but it would be so amazing if I could just tell him to his face that his passion fueled my own dreams and goals. Chester's theme song is Gavin Degraw's hit "In Love With A Girl". iTunes claims I've listened to the song 1000 times while I typed on "The Portal Hunter." Hey, Chester's in love with Jade. It was his theme song.

Perhaps I can twitter him or send a letter or email to let him know he inspired me. Its just so frusterating to be soooo close to going to his concert and possibly meeting him...only to be seperated by one year on the required year. Any suggestions???

So, I went on to youtube to watch movies to make myself giggle and think I should pass on the laughs to others as well. When I'm depressed I love to watch my fave Disney movies. I'm working on the second book of Glaxion series. On chapter 16 finally, yaaaay! So question for fellow writers out there, does anyone ever get inspired by music? I'll hear a song play over and over and over in my mind with a particular character and what not until it becomes either their theme song or the inspiration to a scene setting up in the book and that song will become so critical to my plots that I HAVE t listen to it over and over while I type or hand write out ideas. The book signing was simply AMAZING!!!!!

Ooooh wow today was so flipping amazing!! So I got there about 30 minutes early tp set up my books. The table was already set up and all I had to do was arrange my books and then I sat there chatting with the awesome employee's of Krypton Comics. I have to admit that it was slow until about noon and though thats when my book signing was supposed to start I totally began to secretly hyperventlate. "Is anyone going to even be interested in my books?!" "What if they dont like it???" and etc. Than promptly at 12:02 a very kind and interesting gentleman walked in and asked if I was the author and he'd like to buy my book.
I almost passed out from pure happiness!!!! My hand was shaking when I signed his book! So then we chatted for a bit and then soe old friends of mine came in and we got to catch up and they bought a book as well!!!!!!

To quote a friend, I was spitting up rainbows I was so excited and happy! On the inside I was like Mort from Madagascar, skipping and jumping about going "LA LA LA LA!"

So there was a magic card game going on and I got too meet some amazing and fun guys and one of them, who had been saving up for a game, bought my book!! Thank you Alex!!!!!!!!
I also got to dork out about anime's with them...this group seemed impressed that a girl liked anime's....even more impressed that the animes I like aren't romances xD.

I also got to meet two other fellow writer's who had some very interesting story's and plots. One of them is published, his book is called Whitestripe's Tale, I believe, and is available on Lulu.com. Tom was his first name, though I cant find the slip of paper that tells me his last name xD Fail on my part, haha.

So on top of it all, Krypton bought me lunch!!! THANK YOU AWESOME PEOPLE!!!!

So all in all I sold about 6-8 copies of my book, aaaand the radio played my favorite songs, aaaaaaaaaaand, remember how I mentioned I had wrote a fan letter to the TMNT of IDW Comics? Well after my book signing I bought the newest copy and MY LETTER MADE IN WITH THE FAN MAIL!!!!
*insert fangirl scream*

Oh yeah. I had a GREAT day.
